Administrative Assistant, Land Use and Health Departments

The Town of Killingworth seeks a full-time administrative assistant to its land use and health departments. Supports the Building Official, Zoning & Wetlands Officer, and Health Director/ Sanitarian, including records management; correspondence; and assistance to residents, real estate agents, contractors, and others in filing applications for permits, scheduling inspections, researching property records, and meeting code requirements.

Required: at least two years of responsible administrative work, preferably in a land use office. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and CAMA; ability to work independently; initiative and flexibility. Willingness to assist public in completing applications, compose routine correspondence, and work with town officials and staff members in a positive and professional manner.
