The Board of Selectmen, which consists of the First Selectman and two other selectmen, is the executive branch of the town government. The Board of Selectmen usually meets at 7:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of each month with additional meetings called as needed. The selectmen are elected for two-year terms in odd-number years.
The Board of Selectmen acts as the Housing Authority and the Water Pollution Control Authority for the Town.
