Sealed bids will be received at the Office of the Selectmen, 323 Route 81, Killingworth, CT 06419 for screened sand for removal of ice and snow on roads for the 22/23 and 23/24 winter seasons. Contract may be renewed for an additional 2 years upon approval of both parties.
Bids on a price per cubic yard (delivered) basis must be received at the Killingworth Office of the Selectmen by 4:00 p.m., Monday, October 24, 2022. By that same time, a five-gallon sample pail of sand must be delivered for testing to the Killingworth Town Hall, 323 Route 81, Killingworth. Bid forms are available at townofkillingworth.com.
Bids will be opened and read in public at the Killingworth Board of Selectmen’s Meeting to be held on Monday, October 24, 2022 at 7 p.m.
The Board of Selectmen reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids if deemed in the best interest of the town of Killingworth. Submit bid in a sealed envelope marked “Sand Bid” on the outside of the envelope.
