2026 Revaluation is Underway!

The Town of Killingworth has hired eQuality Valuation Services, L.L.C. of Waterbury, Connecticut to assist the Assessor in conducting the state-mandated revaluation project in accordance with CGS §12-62 for the October 1, 2026 Grand List. This revaluation will correspond to the tax bills that will be due in July 2027. Increase notices will be sent out in November of 2026 and residents have the opportunity to request informal and formal hearings in regard to their new assessment.

FIELDWORK:

Fieldwork is beginning March 2026.

At this time in the process, eQuality will have representatives throughout the Town of Killingworth taking exterior photos of each property.  All vehicles will be marked with the company logo and are registered with the Resident State Trooper, Killingworth Assessor’s Office, and the First Selectmen’s Office.

All owners of improved residential property will be receiving a data questionnaire.  Carefully review your information and return the form in the pre-paid envelope.  Please note it is still necessary to return the form even if there are no changes.  A true and complete description of your property will result in an accurate assessment.  All our efforts are made to be fair and equitable.
