TOWN OF KILLINGWORTH SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
The Electors of the Town of Killingworth and all those qualified to vote in meetings of said Town are hereby notified and warned that a Special Town Meeting will be held at the Killingworth Elementary School, 340 Route 81, Killingworth, CT on Monday, September 28, 2026 at 7 p.m. to consider and act upon the following items of business:
1. To fund, from the General Fund, overexpenditures in excess of $20,000 for the following line item:
• Snow Removal $136,119
• Misc Grants – PFAS Related Expenses $409,088
2. To fund, from the underexpended lines, overexpenditures in FY 2025-26 for the following line items:
• P&R – Additional Pickleball Courts (4) $829
3. To authorize the closeout of the following Capital Accounts as of June 30, 2026:
• KVFC – Brush/Lt Rescue 891 $6,889
• KVFC – Station 1 Reno – Conceptional Design $13,850
• KVFC – Multi-band UHF/7/800 Radios $7
• HW Dept – Large Pickup with Plow $295,000
• HW Dept – Mulch Head Attachment $6,944
• Park and Rec Pavilion at Eric Auer park $18,580
• Parmelee – Pavilion Curtains $55,000
• Parmelee – Trail Lighting $1,000
• County Road Bridge Phase 2 – Shared $1,000
• Green Hill Rd – Drainage Inlet Repair $41,651
These balances revert to the Assigned Fund Balance of the Reserve Fund for Capital and Nonrecurring Expenses.
4. To accept the donation of a 30’x20′ steel storage building at Eric W. Auer Killingworth Recreation Park, made by the Haddam Killingworth Youth Football League.
5. To confirm the Selectmen’s appointment of Jamie Mowat Young to the Representative Policy Board, South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority for a term ending June 30, 2029
