LEGAL NOTICE – TOWN OF KILLINGWORTH
All owners of motor vehicles registered in the town of Killingworth are hereby warned that the Board of Assessment Appeals will meet in open session on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Killingworth Town Hall, 323 Route 81, Killingworth, CT beginning at 9:30AM, for the sole purpose of hearing appeals related to the assessment of motor vehicles on the October 1, 2025 Grand list.
Appellants, or duly authorized representatives, must appear in person. No advanced appointments; walk-in only. Appeals will be heard in order of arrival.
In accordance with State statute, taxpayers may appeal only the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) used to assess a motor vehicle. The Board can no longer hear appeals based on mileage or body condition, as the valuation methodology has changed.
